PortaPlay is a Copenhagen-based digital game studio, now trading as Bird Island, with an English-speaking team of around 17 split into art, sound, tech, narrative and design departments. It started as a work-for-hire studio building games for touch devices, browsers, exhibition PCs and edutainment clients before investing in its own IP; its best-known titles are the squad-based tactics drama Broken Lines and the narrative adventure Gerda: A Flame in Winter, and it has an ongoing partnership with the French publisher DON'T NOD.
