Bugbyte Ltd. is an independent game studio based in Turku, Finland, founded in March 2012 by brothers Aksel and Allan. After two commercially unsuccessful dog-themed games, the studio pivoted to premium space strategy titles and built its reputation on the Battlevoid mobile series before moving to PC, Mac and Linux. Its flagship title is Space Haven, a spaceship colony sim that mixes RimWorld-style emergent storytelling with a tile-based gas simulation, released on 21 May 2020. The company also produces charity games alongside its commercial releases.
