Remedy Entertainment Plc is a Finnish video game developer founded in 1995 and based in Espoo, with a second office in Stockholm, Sweden. It is best known for the Max Payne series, which it sold to Take-Two Interactive in 2002, and for the Alan Wake and Control franchises. The studio develops story-driven action games using its proprietary Northlight engine, and its titles have been adapted into books, comics, concerts, a TV series and a Hollywood film. It is publicly listed and employs a team of over 360 people across more than 35 nationalities.
