Pacru Ltd was formed in 2002 with shareholders Mike Wellman (who designed the game) Alan Wills (who wrote the software used to play Pacru on the website and Pelle Astrom who built a series of prototype boards. The Pacru 101 set was published in 2004 and Pacru 302 set in 2005 in English and German editions. Mike Wellman became the sole shareholder in 2009 and the company is no longer trading and is expected to cease legal existence early in 2015 (owing no-one any money).
