franjos Spieleverlag is a small German board and card game publisher run by Franz-Josef Herbst, founded in 1987 in Lichtenau-Henglarn. It publishes roughly one to two titles a year aimed at families and adults, plus a line of two-player games, with simple rules and play times under an hour. Billabong, Black Box, Mahé, Kippit and Can't Stop are the publisher's most successful titles; Billabong and Buzzle were shortlisted for the Spiel des Jahres, and Mahé won the 2015 U-more Award in Japan.
