About

Revolution Software is an independent game studio based in York, England, founded in 1990 by Charles Cecil, Noirin Carmody, Tony Warriner and David Sykes. For three decades it has specialised in narrative-driven point-and-click adventure games, and is best known for the Broken Sword series plus Beneath a Steel Sky and Beyond a Steel Sky. Its own studio page states the team is a tight core of the original co-founders that collaborates with other local companies on its larger projects, and its stated genres are adventure, point & click and puzzle.
