inkle is an independent narrative game company founded in November 2011 by Cambridge developers Joseph Humfrey and Jon Ingold. It is best known for its ink scripting language for interactive narrative and for story-led digital games including 80 Days, Sorcery!, Heaven's Vault, Pendragon, Overboard! and A Highland Song. Work is commissioned from external writers, artists and programmers, and the company also sells printed books through its own Shopify storefront.
