Gen42 Games is a small Hertfordshire-based games company founded in 2000 by John Yianni, the designer of the multi-award-winning abstract strategy game Hive, which has become an international bestseller and the company's flagship line. Alongside Hive and its expansions, Pocket, Classic, Carbon, Magnetic and Ultimate editions, Gen42 publishes Tatsu, a Japanese-themed backgammon variant, plus a wider slate covering abstract strategy, trick-taking, push-your-luck card games and social deduction.
