World Trench is the official publishing and commercial operation behind TRENCH, a two-player strategy game designed by Portuguese artist Rui Alipio Monteiro. TRENCH is played on a diamond-shaped 8x8 grid split by a central trench, with one army fighting from each side; the design is explicitly based on chess, checkers, shogi and Go, is built for two players with simple rules, and is engineered to have a zero luck factor.
