Popplock is a one-man German business run by Rainer Popp that designs and builds mechanical trick padlocks, each one functioning as a hand-made puzzle rather than a security device. Locks are CAD-designed and milled one at a time from solid brass with stainless steel shackles, in limited editions, inspired by pre-1900 trick locks collected and restored by Popp; the first model, T1, was finished in 2006.
