REVOMAZE is a range of precision-machined metal maze puzzles invented by Cumbrian engineer Chris Pitt, who drew the first design on Christmas Day 2008 and made version 1 the following Boxing Day after an error while machining screwdriver handles during his 1970s apprenticeship suggested the mechanism. The puzzles are hand-sized cylinders in which a spring-loaded pin is guided along a hidden path with traps that reset progress, and they are made in small batches in a family workshop in Askam-in-Furness, Cumbria.
