détanque is a small French company, the SASU DETANQUE, publishing a single wooden casual game brand. La détanque was invented by Rémi Borel in Grenoble in February 2016 and is a hybrid of pétanque, dice and Uno, played with wooden 'Caboule' and 'Cochodé' pieces whose faces modify the rules and scoring; it plays in 15-30 minutes for 2-12 players aged seven and up. The rules and word marks were registered with INPI in February 2016 and EUIPO in October 2017, and after a successful KissKissBankBank campaign in autumn 2016 roughly 17,000 units were in circulation by early 2026.
