Printing business company The Caxton Press (1957) Ltd was acquired by The Straits Times Press Ltd in 1957, to enable the latter to print newspapers in then Malaya. In 1972, The Straits Times Press transferred its Malaysian newspaper business to a wholly-owned company, The New Straits Times Press (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (previously known as The Caxton (1957) Sdn Bhd).
