Plateau Co. is a one-title company run by Jim Albea from P.O. Box 590082, Birmingham, Alabama, and exists solely to publish Plateau, an abstract strategy board game he invented in 1986. Plateau is played on a 4x4 grid with the goal of capturing six opposing pieces or building a stack six high, and is marketed for its hidden-information play, where opponents cannot see each other's positions.
