El Pen LLC is a two-person company formed by Dan Peterson and Neil Patel after the 2016 US election to publish Conviction, a satirical card game in which players try the Trump administration and its allies before Lady Justice. The project's initial funding came from an Indiegogo Generosity campaign that drew contributions from over 250 people in its first three months. The company states on its About page that all profit from sales is donated to organizations it considers endangered by Trump administration policies, and its FAQ confirms it is not a 501(c)(3).
