Playful Studios

About

Playful Studios (legally Playful Corp) is a video game developer based in McKinney, Texas, founded by the team behind Words With Friends and, before that, Age of Empires, Halo Wars and Starcraft. Its catalog is entirely digital rather than tabletop: the Lucky's Tale platformer franchise including New Super Lucky's Tale and the remastered VR original, the sandbox game Creativerse, and the announced hybrid RTS/MOBA/collectible-card game Wildcard. The studio also runs its own storefront and a Creativerse development blog.
