Dead Box Games is a two-person partnership between founder and game designer Frank Tedeschi and artist Derrick Nau, who released their beer-forward board game Alestone in 2015 and who now make 5E Dungeons & Dragons content for Dungeon Masters, including the Bleaksprout adventure. Their stated design focus is deliberately combat-light, emphasising exploration, traps and puzzles, and role-playing. Alongside their own publishing they take freelance game design, writing and art direction work, and have contributed to third-party titles for Shadowdark and Pirate Borg.
