Armada was an imprint of Fontana Paperbacks, part of the then Collins Publishing Group, a publishing company based in Britain. In 1990, Collins Publishing Group merged with US-based publisher Harper & Row, following the acquisition of the British company by News Corporation, which also owned Harper & Row. The merged publishing company now operates under the name HarperCollins.
