Black Oak Games is a one-person imprint run by designer Matthew O'Malley, built around the Knot Dice line: sets of custom dice whose faces form Celtic knot designs and which double as games and puzzles. The original Knot Dice box ships 18 dice, 12 games (Kells, Knot So Fast, Osbox, Snakes, Minarets and others) and a set of symmetry, completion, transformation and building puzzles. Knot Dice, Knot Dice Squared and Celtic Animals Knot Dice were Kickstarter-funded; the catalogue has since expanded to Knot Dice Deluxe and D4 & D8 Knot Dice, plus jigsaw puzzles.
