Psyonix Studios

About

Psyonix is an independent video game development studio founded in 2001 and based in San Diego, California. It began with contract Unreal Engine work for other studios, contributing to Gears of War, Mass Effect 3, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Bulletstorm and the Unreal Tournament series, before shifting to its own projects with Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars in 2008. Its breakout title is Rocket League, a sports-action hybrid launched in 2015 that remains its flagship product. Psyonix joined the Epic Games family in June 2019 and now operates as a studio within Epic.
