SmartMonsters, Inc. develops free-to-play text-based online games for adults, continuing the MUD, MUSH and interactive fiction tradition. Its flagship is TriadCity, a co-operative multi-user role-playing world with a literary orientation, cited in The Cambridge Companion to Postmodernism and distributed as a web client plus iOS and Android apps.
