Blackball Games, Inc. was formed in 2009 by tabletop designers including Matthew Hope and Duncan Huffman, and both designs its own games and contracts design work to third-party publishers. Its own catalog is led by the WWII science-fiction/occult miniatures game AE-WWII and the science-fiction miniatures game AE-Bounty, alongside the Book of Fragments miniature line and the dice game Monkeys with Knives and Guns. It also developed games for other companies, including Relic Knights and Wrath of Kings (Soda Pop Miniatures), Angry Sheep (CoolMiniOrNot) and Sedition Wars (Studio McVey).
