Tavolando.net is the home of 'Il fogliaccio degli astratti', a free Italian-language magazine founded 31 July 2003 that began as a list of game rules on the it.hobby.giochi newsgroup and has been issued as printable PDFs since 2005. Each issue combines game-design history, tactical and strategic analysis, theory and philosophy of play, and reprints of the rules of both traditional and modern abstract games by other designers (Alex Randolph, Cameron Browne, Wolfgang Kramer, Niek Neuwahl and others).
