Illwinter Game Design

About

Illwinter Game Design is a two-person software company that develops turn-based strategy computer games, originally founded as Bogus Game Design in the 1990s with Conquest of Elysium for the Atari. Its best known franchises are the Dominions 4X series (Dominions 6 released in 2024) and the roguelike-flavoured Conquest of Elysium series, plus Illwinter's Floorplan Generator, a virtual tabletop encounter-mapping tool. The site states the games prioritise mechanical depth, random world generation and replayability over animation. The postal address given on the About page is in Lund, Sweden.
