Spellbook Games is an independent publisher founded in September 2009 by Paul Elkmann, whose reimagining of the classic 1974 module Inferno was the company's origin; rights to the original Inferno text were purchased in 2009. It publishes classic-style, largely system-agnostic Dungeons & Dragons material in PDF, spanning the Portal to Adventure rules line, adventure modules and DM resource tools such as the Town Generator. It also designs and manufactures custom plastic gaming miniatures in house at its own facility.
