Relic Entertainment is a Vancouver-based real-time strategy game developer founded in 1997 by Alex Garden and Luke Moloney, with the stated goal of becoming the world's best RTS studio. Homeworld, released in 1999, was the first complete 3D RTS and established the studio's reputation, followed by Impossible Creatures, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War, Company of Heroes, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine and Age of Empires IV.
