Plankton Games is a one-man independent game company operated by Dave Dobson, who is best known for the shareware game Snood (1996) and who taught geology and computer programming at Guilford College before leaving teaching in 2021 to write and design games. The company is proudest of the Doctor Esker's Notebook series of solo-and-party puzzle card games, now four titles deep, and also publishes card strategy games such as Cult, Diggity, Galapagos, The Treasure of Mag Mell, Yoggity and 97 Klotho. Alongside the tabletop line it has long produced web games and one Android title, Scryptix.
